What is a poker series and how does it work?
A poker series is a way for everyone to compete for prizes even if they aren’t the winner of an event.
Each poker series race the top 13 finishers are awarded a ‘poker card’

| 6th | >> | 9 |
| 7th | >> | 8 |
| 8th | >> | 7 |

| 11th | >> | 4 |
| 12th | >> | 3 |
| 13th | >> | 2 |
There are two poker series available this year
$500 | The HNT Poker Series | Linda’s Speedway
$500 | The Battery Warehouse Poker Series | Hamlin Speedway
Drivers will be awarded a card according to their finish FOR EACH poker series race. By attending and finishing races driver will acquire a poker hand of cards.
Example 1:
Finish 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, DNQ in four races:
10 | Queen | Queen | King | No Card
You would have the equivalent of a pair (Queens)
Example 2:
Finish 8th, 7th, 5th, 8th, 8th, 5th
Your hand would be (3) 7’s and (2) 10 or a FULL HOUSE
Theoretically you do not have to win the race to win the poker series. The driver who has the best poker hands wins.
Poker series rules and determinations are controlled by Xcel Chassis.
Poker series updates are typically shared on our facebook page throughout the regular season. If time allows, they will be also updated here.

Xcel wants to recognize our past champions. We are working with the record keepers to try to get thing in order to do this section justice. That may prove to be difficult, but we are working with some folks who have left the series and may hold information that we don’t have readily available.
